Don't Laugh: the “Try Not to Laugh” challenge online

The “Try not to laugh” challenge for a group: everyone watches the same video while a neural network in the browser watches your faces. Smile and you’re caught — the video pauses and everyone sees the screenshot proof.

Rules step by step

  1. Create a room and send your friends the invite link.
  2. Pick a clip from the library or paste a YouTube link.
  3. Choose a mode: “Elimination” with lives, or “Score”, where you watch the video to the end.
  4. Watch and hold it in: whoever smiles gets caught. In Elimination the last one standing wins; in Score, whoever laughed the least.

How does the game know I laughed?

A neural network recognizes smiles right in your browser. Your camera video is not sent to the server for analysis.

Can I play alone?

Yes, a room holds 1 to 6 players. Playing solo is a good way to practice and test your no-laugh record.

What if I don’t have a webcam?

Use your phone as a camera: the join page has a “No webcam? Use your phone” button, and the phone connects via a QR code.

Is it free?

Yes, the game is free and runs in the browser with no download or sign-up.
