Your own VPN in 10 minutes

The way most people do it: your own 3x-ui panel on the server and modern VLESS Reality or Hysteria2 protocols.

  1. Rent a VPS

    The cheapest plan, Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04, located in the country you want to go online from. The provider sends you the IP address and the root password.

  2. Install 3x-ui

    Log in to the server with ssh root@SERVER_IP and run the commands below. The installer generates the panel login, password and address itself, so save them.

  3. Create a connection

    In the panel, open Inbounds and add a new one: VLESS with Reality security (the panel generates keys with a button) or Hysteria2.

  4. Connect your devices

    Each connection has a QR code and a link. Import them into Hiddify (Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, Linux) or v2rayNG on Android.

3x-ui is an open-source panel built on the Xray core, with code on GitHub. Besides VLESS and Hysteria2 it supports Trojan, Shadowsocks and other protocols, and you can give friends their own clients.

First, change the root password with passwd, or better, log in with an SSH key: ssh-copy-id root@SERVER_IP.

Vibe coding right on the server
